The starting salary is £19,171 (level 1) rising to £19,945 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

An exciting new role has become available within the Building Services team for a caretaking supervisor.  You will be responsible for providing supervision and support to a team of supply caretakers working a 37 hour week predominantly on a split shift system.  
  
The role will involve tasks such as planning work schedules and rotas for 6 supply caretakers, liaising with customers and ensuring the smooth running of the operation.
  
The supply caretakers work primarily within schools and council buildings providing cover due to the absence of the sites usual caretaking arrangements.  They undertake a range of duties but not limited to locking and unlocking buildings, cleaning duties, general maintenance tasks and statutory compliance activities. 
   
You will need to be flexible with your working hours as the shifts will predominantly be early mornings and late afternoons/evenings 
   
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Understanding of alarm systems and responding to alarm call outs and securing buildings
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to legionella testing and recording
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of the team.
