Are you looking for a role where you can use your excellent attention to detail and customer service skills? Are you flexible in your approach to work and like problem solving?
We are looking for individuals with previous pension or finance experience and a passion for working with numbers, to join our welcoming Pensions team based at County Hall. If you haven't worked in Local Government Pensions before don't worry - full training will be provided.
Leicestershire County Council Pensions team ensure the delivery of best value for both the council and local authority partners in our administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). We have 100,000 scheme members across Leicestershire and have recently introduced an online member self service portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dealing with LGPS correspondence and enquiries;
- Maintain accurate and up to date computerised records;
- Liaising with employers and members in a professional and sensitive manner;
- Calculate and process refunds, benefits and year-end contributions accurately and efficiently;
- Work to set targets, ensuring statutory deadlines are achieved;
- General administration duties as required, such as photocopying, scanning and indexing.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience of working within pensions or finance;
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages;
- Ability to carry out calculations quickly and accurately;
- Effective verbal and written communication;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
