Please Note:  The successful candiate will start at beginning of the Autumn term -23rd August 2021
The role involves providing training and support to new ABA Tutors within schools so that they can complete their RBT (Registered Behavioural Technician) qualification. This will include training new tutors on basic ABA theory,helping them to implement ABA programs and providing feedback on their performance. The post will involve working across Leicestershire schools (including in some schools in neighbouring authorities) and will require a flexible approach to meet with the ABA team’s requirements.
  • Education to GCSE standard at grades A-C for a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics.
  • Registered Behaviour Technician or higher ABA qualification
  • Demonstrate experience of working directly with children with autism
  • Needs several years of experience on ABAprogrammes.
  • Experience with training new ABA tutors.
  • Able to produce concise and accurate reports and analyse data.
  • Organised approach to work in relation to file and record keeping.
  • Positive attitude to public communication and customer care. 
  • Self-motivated with drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work to deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willing to develop knowledge and experience.
  • Flexible approach to changing work tasks 
  • Effective and efficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal with staff at all levels and the public.
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise individual work, tasks and projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of using I.T. systems, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Team player, adaptable and flexible, able to work on own initiative under pressure.
  • Current full driving licence.
  • Willing and able to provide a vehicle for use on Council business. 
  • Must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
