For starts in September 2019, fixed term to 31st August 2020
• Teach Italian to adult learners at centres around the county for 2 hours per week, mostly evenings.  (It may be possible to travel to more than one centre each week).
• Create an atmosphere where learners can reach their full potential and teaching and learning is outstanding
• Set goals that stretch and challenge, negotiating individual learning outcomes and content
• Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment
• Use a variety of relevant and up to date teaching methods to enable and support differentiated learning, including the appropriate use of ICT in the classroom
• Promote the benefits of technology and support learners in its use
• Review and evaluate learning and teaching in order to plan for improvement
• Engage fully with opportunities for continuing professional development, at least 30 hours annually
• A nationally approved teaching qualification, minimum Level 3 but preferably Level 5 qualification
• Relevant and approved Italian qualification or subject expertise to an appropriate level
• Recent experience teaching Italian, ideally to adults and an active engagement in the subject
• Good functional skills (to at least NVQ Level 2 or above in English, Maths and ICT)
• The ability to use ICT for professional communications, using email and attachments and to access the learning platform on Moodle, both as a teaching method in class and also to support learners in between classes by adding material to your class page and promoting independent learning
• Understanding of the national professional standards in teaching and learning
• Understanding of RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement) and know how to apply its principles and processes
