LIGHTBULB (Housing related support) OT TEAM
Salary Range: Grades 10-11 £27,387 - £34,653
 
Main Duties:
  • Assess, recommend and support the provision of adaptations for service users with complex needs.
  • Provide professional guidance (but not line management) to Housing Support Co-ordinators (Trusted Assessors)
  • To reduce hand-offs between OT teams and ensure OTs retain their professional skills, Lightbulb OT’s will assess and provide equipment and guidance regarding moving and handling where appropriate.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy approved by the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
  • Skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the Occupational Therapy role within Adult Social Care, including: Major and Minor adaptations, equipment, enablement, moving and handling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of housing issues and their link to Social Care.
  • The ability to work with carers, colleagues and partnership agencies to provide the most effective service.
  • The ability to manage a caseload and to set clear objectives and plans.
  • Experience of supporting and mentoring less experienced staff.
