Leicestershire Adult Learning Service (LALS) deliver courses to 5000 learners across Leicestershire each year.  The Management Information System (MIS) is our central learner records system used to manage programmes and prepare data returns for funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).   This post has become available because one of our existing MIS Officers will be taking a career break.  The role will provide the opportunity to learn more about Further Education funding rules and the management of learner records. Work is primarily desk based at County Hall however you will be required to work closely with senior managers and curriculum staff to help interpret funding rules and contract compliance.  The preparation of statutory data returns to the funding agency will be a priority for the postholder.
  • GCSE Grade A-C Maths and English
  • Experience in using data / Management Information systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office / database software skills
