Contract Type: Fixed Term Apprenticeship for 12 months contract lengthSalary Details: Salary will be minimum wage in line with National and LCC Apprenticeship guidelines This Apprenticeship will provide an entry point into a large corporate ICT environment and will build a solid grounding in service delivery in an operational ICT department. The successful candidate will experience different work types within a large IT department with the majority of experiences coming from the core delivery of Service Desk and 1st line support. Sharpen your ICT skills and experiences with us in preparation for your future ICT career.
Role:To work in one or more sections of LCC Information & Technology department to gain experience in Technical Service Delivery practices including; IT Service Support (Service Desk), IT Asset Management, and IT infrastructure management. To carry out duties associated with the section in which the apprentice is working at a level appropriate to the trainee’s experience. To gain an understanding of how the team functions by providing support as required whilst gaining knowledge and experience and by undertaking training in the designated training scheme.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 or 3
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
• Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent to include computer studies or IT, Maths and English
