Hours: Part time, Variable depending on pupil requirements
Salary Details: Supply Teacher hourly rate - Plus Threshold Payment Allowance if eligible
Additional Home Education Teachers are required to teach core subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4, working with pupils who are temporarily unable to attend school on medical grounds. Teaching will cover a wide range of ability, up to, and including G.C.S.E. It will usually be on a one to one basis in the pupil’s home although other venues are used.
An innovative, flexible approach to the delivery of the National Curriculum and syllabi, is essential as is an ability to establish relationships quickly with pupils and to liaise effectively with other professionals.
Working with pupils suffering from chronic illness, orthopaedic injury and anxiety-related school refusal, you will be well supported and have access to on-going professional development. Successful applicants will be appointed to the Home Education Teachers register and offered work as it becomes available.
