We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher of History to start from September 2020. We are interested in recruiting a teacher who has the ability to teach high quality lessons in the full range of age and ability at our 11-14 school. This post is suitable for either experienced history teachers or NQTs.
 
Our Humanities department is a successful and thriving area of the college, with our students achieving consistently strong Key Stage 3 results. An enthusiasm for your subject is essential together with the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve highly and enjoy learning History. Our vision statement clearly describes our ‘Journey to Excellence’ and we are aiming to move from ‘good to outstanding’ in all aspects of our work at the college, particularly in quality of education.
 
We teach in spacious, well-equipped classrooms, each with an interactive Smartboard and we have sets of laptops available for use in all classrooms. We also have sets of ipads and tablets available to book across the college.
 
Results are consistently high and the majority of students achieve or exceed their challenging progress targets from Key Stage 2 to 3 and then go on to achieve strong GCSE results at Ashby School.
