We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with additional responsibility for running Breakfast Club.
Salary Details: Grade 8
Contract Type: Full time and permanent
Start date: 6th January 2020 (or as soon as possible after this date)
Working Hours: 7:45am – 4:00pm term time plus 5 INSET days per year (to include breakfast club 7:45-8:45 term time only)
Qualification: HLTA Status or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

The Governors are looking to appoint an outstanding, creative and committed practitioner who will make a marked contribution to our school. The successful candidate will:
• Deliver work to whole classes across all year groups without the presence of a teacher
• Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities for whole classes, groups and individual pupils including those with SEND
• Have a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum age related expectations and be able to assess and evaluate learners’ progress against these recording assessments on the school’s tracking system
• Manage LSAs on a day to day basis supporting them to develop their working practice
• Contribute to policy development
• Have a proven track record of raising standards and accelerating progress for all groups of pupils
• Provide planned activities to pupils during Breakfast Club
• Be able to work well as a team
• Promote the ethos of the school.
This is a particularly exciting time for Thorpe Acre Junior School as we look forward to opening our Communication and Interaction (namely ASD) unit in August 2020.
