Leicestershire County Council has developed a new four-year People Strategy to be launched in 2021. The Strategy is our most ambitious yet and we are looking for new members of our People Services Strategy and Organisational Development team to support the delivery of our vision to be a “values led organisation that people are proud to work for.” The key themes of the Strategy are performance management, leadership and workplace and culture. Our focus is to build back stronger and develop new ways of working whilst ensuring the wellbeing of our employees.
The roles supporting the People Strategy require enthusiastic individuals who will actively contribute to the successful delivery of the strategy within our professional, dedicated and friendly team.
HR Adviser (Projects) Fixed term 15 months
Salary: Grade 11 (£32,979-£35,607)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our new Resourcing team, that are passionate about the development and delivery of HR and recruitment strategy, policy and projects.
The focus of the role will be the development and delivery of our recruitment and retention projects supporting the People Strategy and implementation of related policies and procedures.
You will demonstrate the Council’s values and principles when working with stakeholders and partners. You’ll be comfortable managing a busy workload, prioritising effectively while maintaining clear and frequent communication with stakeholders. You should have strong attention to detail and be able to deliver under pressure to high standards.
It would be beneficial for you to have previous experience recruiting within the public sector, although this is not essential.
The ideal candidate:

Experience of developing and implementing effective and practical HR policies, procedures, guidance, processes and/or toolkits

Experience of writing effective reports for management meetings and/or committees

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
