Due to the continued expansion of our team, we are seeking to appoint hardworking and friendly Graduated Response Practitioners with successful experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. You will be committed to providing high quality, inclusive provision and be able to share your skills, expertise and knowledge across the schools in Leicestershire. You will be skilled in delivering a range of interventions and adapting class work to make it engaging and accessible. This is the work you will share with teachers and teaching assistants throughout the county to give them the skills, knowledge and positive attitude to keep children with SEMH issues within their schools. We are looking for a dedicated and caring person who is able to work well as a team member whilst using their initiative when working independently.
The team is based at Oakfield, which is the Pupil Referral Unit for Leicestershire, but your work will be across the primary schools in Leicestershire preventing exclusion and supporting reintegration. The team here is a professional group of colleagues who always go the extra mile for their pupils. You will have regular in school / out of school training and so you will be able to develop both your skills and your career. You will be working with a group of very supportive colleagues who work brilliantly together as a team and are both passionate and enthusiastic, despite the pressures of the job.
This is a permanent contract, working 34 hours per week 39 weeks per year, which includes training days. Travel expenses are paid, but you are expected to travel to schools across the County in your own time. Visits to the school to meet the team are welcome and encouraged.
