THE ROLE:
In this role you will be working as part of a team to carry out advanced horticultural maintenance operations. This includes working to contract specifications, interpreting instructions and delivering specified outputs as directed.
 
The role will involve working with a team of Gardeners, Apprentices, Public Realm Operatives and Community Volunteers.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • You need experience of working in a horticulture/environmental conservation setting - using a wide range of practical horticultural and habitat management skills.
  • Experience of sports grounds maintenance, including bowling greens, this will include marking out, setting out, erection and dismantling of equipment.
  • Experience of turf maintenance including fine, medium and sports turf and the maintenance of hard surfaces, including landscaping.
  • Your experience will be underpinned by a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g. City and Guilds Horticulture, National Certificate).
