Ibstock Community College is a unique, friendly and welcoming 11 - 14 mixed comprehensive with 550 on roll. The college was judged to be good in our most recent Ofsted (December 2017). Due to internal promotion, we are currently seeking a Faculty Leader to lead our humanities team.
This opportunity would suit an ambitious, highly motivated teacher who aspires to leadership and who wishes to progress their career within a supportive environment.
As the faculty leader for humanities, you will be responsible for the quality of provision in the faculty area and leading the subject team effectively, delegating appropriately to all members of the team. As a member of the middle leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the college.
It would be advantageous if the successful candidate has taught across all humanities subjects; we particularly welcome applications from specialists in Religious Studies. The post holder will also be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the whole school PSHE curriculum.
