The City of Nottingham is renowned for its entertainment and sporting offer.  Our year-round programme of sports, arts and cultural events is a core part of this mix which makes Nottingham such a vibrant and attractive city to live, work, visit and invest. Attracting annual audiences to our events of over 2.5m, Nottingham Events produces much of this diverse arts and event programming, including the Splendour music festival, annual Riverside Festival, international sports events such as the Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay and the famous Nottingham Goose Fair. 
We also work extensively with external promoters who make use of our fantastic city centre public realm and park venues. We are now seeking an Event Assistant who is looking to build and develop their career in event management.
You will be a part of a small agile team that conceptualise, develop, facilitate and manage a high quality, innovative, inclusive and aspirational city-wide programme of year-round events. Supporting the successful delivery of a number of major events each year as well as working as a part of our Venue Sales & Bookings function to deliver client and venue management services across our parks, open spaces and beyond. Working closely with our Event Managers, the role offers the opportunity to work across the commercial, sporting and civic events sectors, and support the management and delivery of around 20-major events annually across Nottingham.

• Some experience of working or volunteering at events, ideally gained within the outdoor events, festival or entertainment industries.
• A degree or other qualification in Events Management or a related subject or relevant work experience of more than 1-year
