The starting salary is £32,878 rising to £34,788 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

Are you a fully qualified EHRB or charted EHP with housing and HHSRS experience, or are you nearing graduation and working towards a full qualification and registration. THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POST.
Are you self motivated and enthusiastic with a keen desire to improve privately rented housing conditions for the people of Nottingham? If so your just who we need to join our team of professional dedicated Officers.
As an Environmental Health Officer you will be responsible for providing a premium environmental health service in enforcement and compliance, protecting public health and citizen safety.
Experience in HMO licensing is desirable in the following areas: granting, refusals, revocations and variations.
• Willingness to undergo, pass and maintain Non Police Personal Vetting (NPPV) as it is an essential requirement for this role.
• Demonstrate experience and the ability to direct investigations resulting in prosecutions or other legal sanctions in accordance with relevant procedural and evidential rules.
• A specialism in at least one of the following areas but with the knowledge and ability to work in any of the fields listed as requested. Food Safety, Health and Safety, Housing Standards, Housing, Licensing and Compliance and Pollution Control.
• Must have a degree in Environmental Health or working towards a degree.
• Ability and willingness to keep up to date and develop knowledge, skills and accreditation relating to the role of an Environmental Health Officer.
• A commitment to continuously improve competency in this field.
• Ability to analyse information, manage workloads and work both individually and as part of a team.
