The starting salary is £32,878 (Level One) rising to £34,788 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

The Employment and Skills Projects Officer is a varied role, working with partners across the Council, and externally to deliver projects that support our employment and skills objectives. This includes an externally funded project to promote higher level Apprenticeships and working with employers to understand their skills priorities. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of projects that deliver both strategic and local economic development priorities. Through proactive and effective project management, they will ensure projects continue to meet strategic and local aims. They will need excellent stakeholder management skills and a good understanding of employment and skills policy and delivery. 
                  
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
• Experience of planning and managing complex projects to time and on budget
• Knowledge and experience of employment and skills and the national and local policy framework
• Experience of writing precise, clear and stimulating reports and briefings
