One Fixed Term position for 12 Months (Secondment Cover)
The starting salary is £32,233 (level 1) rising to £34,106 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time).  Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions Information which includes advice on pay, annual leave and hours of working.

The role of Development & Change Consultant is vital in supporting this ambition, and will support the procurement, design and delivery of change and development activity across the organisation and to external partners. Sitting within the new HR and Organisational Development service, you will work with a range of stakeholders and contribute to projects and initiatives that will support the councils workforce priorities.
If you have experience of facilitating change in a diverse organisation and developing leaders through coaching and other development interventions, we want to hear from you. 
Please provide information in no more than 1,500 words outlining your relevant skills and experience that will enable you to meet each of the following essential criteria. The essential criteria listed below should be displayed in your Personal Statement as sub-headings with an outline of your skills and experience in each section. 
  1. Thorough understanding of current issues in relation to management and organisational development. 
  2. Ability to facilitate learning and coaching sessions with individuals and groups of managers/leaders.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels, and external contacts with confidence, diplomacy, and strong negotiation/influencing skills.
  4. Experience of working with a range of stakeholder/ clients across all levels in the Council, positively addressing barriers and influencing outcomes
  5. Extensive experience of delivering management training to senior level managers and management teams
  6. Effective presentation skills with ability to deliver and facilitate change/development initiatives
