The starting salary is £37,849 (Level One) rising to £39,782 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers)

We are looking for an experienced contract manager with excellent communication skills and project management experience. The role will be leading a programme of work to identify and reduce costs of contracts across Nottingham City Council. The postholder will also be reviewing contract management policies and processes across the organisation and implementing new governance structures. The individual will need to be able to netweork with colleagues across the council .

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Experience of leading the development of complex contract and performance management models
  • Knowledge of Contract and Procurement Legislation
  • Ability to negotiate, whilst avoiding and managing conflict
  • Experience of setting up performance management frameworks
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Experience of using a range of software including Word, Excel and Access
