ESPO are looking to appoint a Contract Support Officer to join their Energy team based at Grove Park, Enderby.  Reporting to the Energy Systems & Innovation Manager the Contract Support Officer will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of an energy invoice validation service which forms part of ESPO’s complete managed procurement solution to their public sector customer portfolio.     
 
The Energy category scope covers gas, electricity, as well heating and automotive fuels, LPG and metering contracts.
        
This role predominantly requires the post holder to scrutinise energy invoices, received by our customers, before advising them of the accuracy levels using our specialist software package, before advising customers of any errors.
 
The post holder will also be responsible for resolving queries on incorrect invoices with our supplier and therefore previous energy industry experience would be an advantage. Although candidates with experience within a Customer Service environment will be considered.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • GCSE C Grades in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in a Customer Service environment or a customer focussed role (if within the energy industry would be an advantage)
  • Analysis of data/information, and production of reports, charts, tables, graphs etc
  • Ability to organise & prioritise variable workload and to set and follow up realistic deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers and other contacts and to be assertive when necessary.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a confident telephone manner and ability to draft correspondence independently or with limited support.
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically windows, MS Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint (including but not limited to the use of formulae and the generation of graphs & charts
