The starting salary is £ 32,878(level 1) rising to £34,788 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

We are looking to recruit on a secondment basis a passionate, innovative and capable person to undertake the duties of the Quality Assurance Officer, who is based in the Children's Placement team. The team work closely with colleagues from children's social care to source suitable placements for children who are coming into care or who need to move. The postholder leads on work to quality assures external placements. This process is informed by Ofsted regulations and individual placement plans. The postholder plays a critical role in promoting the safety and welfare of children in care. They will be expected to challenge any identified areas of improvement and monitor the impact of improvement plans.
                  
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Significant knowledge of Ofsted quality standards
• Knowledge of Local Authority statutory responsibilities relating to children on the edge of care, in care and care leavers
• Knowledge and understanding of the reasons that children come into care
