Odyssey Collaborative Trust are looking to appoint a Chief Operations Officer to play a key role in the next stage of its development. The Trust is a locally focused and proactive Trust, with its 7 schools in the primary age range. The schools are located close to each other to the north and East of the city of Derby. The main functions of the role are:
• Helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the schools in the Trust, so that headteacher’s primary focus is the education of pupils in their care.
• Help the Trust to achieve its vision.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of staff, children and young people.
• Provide strategic leadership to the Trust on personnel, estates and facilities management and to support the Chief Finance Officer on the leadership of matters relating to finance.
• Line manage School Business Managers in the Trust’s central team
• Contribute fully to the development of Trust strategy across all areas, to provide relevant guidance on Trust plans, targets and activities.
• Develop and maintain a coherent, effective and efficient approach to operational management across the Trust.
• Drive forward an ambitious agenda, supporting school leaders across the Trust to ensure that the Trust makes best possible use of its resources and provides the best outcomes for its pupils.
