Salary:£18,426 - Pro-Rata 

Appointment Type:Fixed Term 

Location:Melton Locality, Fairmead Childrens Centre, The Cove Childrens Centre, Leicestershire, LE13 


Closing date:31 July 2019 at midnight 

Fixed Term position until April 2020.

To be the welcoming face of the Children & Families Wellbeing Centres; to ensure seamless service delivery for parents, children and young people; to provide an administration support service to the Children & Families Wellbeing Service; to ensure a smooth transition in to the 0-19 service; to work across the locality to provide peripatetic support at any centre.


  • NVQ 2 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy or relevant equivalent experience
  • Experience of Administration including reception, message taking and relaying, maintaining record systems
  • Experience of production of work-processed reports and correspondence  
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of computerised data entry and using spreadsheets
  • Full understanding knowledge of the need to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of social media and effective ways of communication
  • Good standard of numeracy, sufficient to collate statistical information
  • To have clear communication skills and good telephone manner
  • Ability to engage and communicate with parents, young people and children
  • Ability to work with a range of professionals and practitioners as part of a team
  • To work flexibly to meet changing priorities
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • To produce accurate work to deadlines
  • Ability to travel to service points within Leicestershire County Council in a cost efficient way
  • Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle however reasonable adjustments will be made for an applicant who has a disability
  • An understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and apply this in all situations
  • The post holder must be willing to undertake further training within an early help professional development framework.
