The starting salary is £28,785 (Level One) rising to £30,507 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time hours)
 
The post will be based at The Willows Day Centre, with frequent site visits and inspections across the estate required.

Job Purpose
To be responsible for the delivery of a high quality catering provision across adult provision services, ensuring the effective management of the designated service area. To be proactive in supporting the production of nutritious food at all sites, and actively promoting and marketing the service in relation to the provision of food and nutrition and cleaning services.
 
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the deployment of catering staff and cleaning staff, ensuring there are sufficient numbers of suitable staff to cover duty rotas, ensuring citizens’ nutritional and cultural requirements are met and the cleaning standards are maintained in line with infection control legislation.
 
The successful candidate will also implement and monitor all people management processes, audits and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with all policies and legislation relevant to the service.
 
Essential Requirements
  1. Ability to design menus and options that meet the dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of citizens using the service;
  2. A thorough understanding of environmental health, food preparation, Health & Safety, COSHH and Cleaning legislation requirements, relevant to the duties of the post;
  3. Ability to oversee and, as appropriate, take part in formal people management processes e.g. recruitment, attendance management, disciplinary;
  4. Willingness to work flexibly (e.g. where necessary; hours, days, weekends, bank holidays, out of hours, at any City location/team), to meet the needs of the service and ensure appropriate cover.
