Casual Testing Assistants

£10.20 per hour

Locations across the County of Leicestershire

 
Shifts available: 
Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 7.30pm 
Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 1.30pm
Monday to Friday - 1.30 to 7.30pm
Saturday - 9.30am to 5.00pm 
Sunday - 9.30am to 5.00pm

  
To increase testing for COVID-19 the Government has introduced rapid lateral flow tests for individuals who are asymptomatic (no symptoms). Leicestershire will be rolling out lateral flow testing and you can support our residents by assisting with the delivery and operation of self-administered testing at our covid secure mobile testing sites.

Full training and personal protective equipment will be provided               .
      

Main duties:

Support individuals to register for the test using their own device

Allocate test kits to individuals and assign/direct to testing area

Supervise, guide and encourage individuals to undertake a self-administered COVID-19 test

Accurately time and process the test once completed

Confirm test result, entering onto the system using the supplied iPhone

Dispose of test kit appropriately

Wipe down surfaces following agreed protocol

Adhere to the strict guidelines and procedures required

Queue management when necessary

Assemble/build test kits

Deep cleaning areas if required    

Support with setting up and dismantling lightweight materials for the site

  
YOU SHOULD:
• Be physically able to stand for long periods of time, with good mobility
• Have good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Be flexible and able to change tasks as and when required
• Have no symptoms of COVID-19, nor must anyone in your household
• Be willing to work outside if necessary
• Be able to travel to locations across the County
