Are you passionate about providing care, and want to make a difference in your local community? We have opportunities to work in Homecare across the city, with regular hours and full training provided.
  
The starting salary is £18,426 rising to £18,795 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period. This is pro rata for part time hours.
  
Hours will be worked according to a rota, and this will include weekend work. A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.

Nottingham City Council Homecare provides two services; Social Care Reablement and JackDawe.
    
Social Care Reablement is a specialist Homecare team that works across the city to provide support to citizens in their own homes. This is mostly acute, short term care for citizens who have recently been discharged from Hospital or another service. The focus of the work done by Social Care Reablement is to help citizens reintegrate back into their previous lives, whether that is socially, physically or emotionally.
   
The JackDawe team provide a specialist service supporting citizens with a range of complex needs, to enable them to continue with everyday activities and tasks that are meaningful to them. This also encourages independence and can reduce the impact of behavioural and psychological symptoms associated many complex needs. JackDawe service also supports in practical ways, such as medication management, personal care and home management. 
   
Both teams encourage independence and choice for citizens, and control over the way their care is provided. This involves not only providing personalised care as directed in the citizen’s care plan, but also encouraging and enhancing the wellbeing of citizens through promotion of independence, early intervention, community support and friendships.
   
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Implementation of Care Plans and contribution to running records and daily monitoring forms;
• Ability to encourage and support citizens to achieve and/or maintain maximum independence, and to maintain contact with friends, family and community;
• Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds;
• Ability to follow all instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines.
