We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to join our team to:
• Promote and deliver specialist professional workshops, contribute to the development of new library workshops and resources and be responsible for the development of the library management systems
• Work alongside the CLS Support Officer to ensure professional cover for the Learning Hub
• Deliver high quality, customer focused library services to schools, academies and other learning organisations
• Degree or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience
• Significant experience of working in library and learning environments
• Experience of working with children and young people
• Experience of the delivery of expertise relating to literature for young people's wellbeing and attainment
• Experience of the provision of excellent customer care
• Knowledge and experience of working with electronic catalogues and stock and information systems
• Up to date professional knowledge of children's literature and authors
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools
• Knowledge and understanding of the impact of reading on young people's attainment and wellbeing
• Good level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Understands the potential for ICT applications and maximises their use to improve efficiency and effectiveness
