We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join our Business Services team with a primary role across our Information and Records section. The core duties of this post will be handling incoming complaints and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and managing the lifecycle of these requests, networking with internal departments and external partner agencies as required. There will also be an expectation to work across our wider team including Insurance claims and document management as required.
   
Ideally you will have a basic understanding of FOI and Local Government complaints legislation. Whilst previous direct experience in this sector is desirable, of greater importance is the ability to manage work queues, work to tight deadlines, build effective working relationships and work logically whilst under pressure.
   
Within this role, you will get to know the full range of Council services and develop all facets of your skills in negotiation, problem solving and customer care.
    
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Good customer service skills
• Well developed communications skills, with ability to challenge and influence when appropriate
• Able to prioritise and manage own workload
• Maintaining and managing information in key systems in accordance with expected standards
• Experience of working collaboratively across teams
