The starting salary is £19,171 (Level One) rising to £19,945 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

Nottingham City Council is proud of the positive impact we have on the lives of children and young people in our city.  We are seeking a highly motivated Business Support Officer to primarily support the child and adolescent mental health service manager with the day to day administrative support of the leadership team. The CAMHService offers support for children young people and families around their emotional mental health needs. So you will be part of a team who strive to make a positive difference to children and young people's mental health and their lives.

This opportunity is fantastic for someone who is looking to grow and develop within the mental health services. Someone who is able to work independently, use their own initiative and flexibly to support the CAMHS service manager and leadership team. This role is full of great opportunities to support you to develop current skills, such as finance, time keeping, data liaison, customer service skills and problem solving. Through this role, you will have the chance to meet various people from our partners, to citizens and our wonderful staff. There are various creative tasks that will allow you to build a great working environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Extensive use of and experience of using the MS Office Suite.
  • Experience of planning and organising own workload and be able to work flexibly in a pressured environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels utilising a variety of methods including telephone, email and face to face.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a quality, customer focused service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
