To provide high quality administrative support and information, efficient and effective policies and procedures to meet Health and Safety requirements for all staff, both centrally and across localities within Children and Family Services.


  • Recognised Academic qualifications e.g. GCSE, A levels, vocational qualifications, professional/further education qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant area or equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Training in the use of ICT applications - Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, access
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Experience of working in staff development and delivery of training
  • Previous experience of collection and collation of data, performing calculations and writing reports
  • Experience of working to strict timescales and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to engage, motivate and direct the efforts of others towards agreed Children and Family Services objectives
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data/information and present it effectively
  • Knowledge of the use and application of IT within an office environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Full understanding of the need to maintain professional integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal / negotiating skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to initiate new business and administrative systems
  • To work using own initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving with strong customer care skills
