As a member of the Children and Family Services you will be required to ensure the development of high quality financial and administrative support. It is vital to the future of the department that the post holder is flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing to offer help to employees and treats co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority.

  • Recognised Academic Qualification e.g. GCSE, A levels vocational Qualification Professional/further education qualification in relevant area
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Training in the use of ICT applications Microsoft Word, Excel, publisher, PowerPoint etc.
  • A relevant Admin qualification
  • AAT Accounts (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of collection and collation of data, performing calculations and writing reports
  • Experience of working to tight timescales and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of financial admin and budgets including monitoring and control
  • Knowledge of databases, ICT and e-government
  • Good understanding of Oracle and I-Proc
  • To have good people skills
  • Have a flair for taking a fresh view of practices and procedures with a view to recommending IT based solutions/improvements
  • A flexible approach to working, including out-of-hours and an ability and willingness to travel to various locations in a cost-effective way
