An exciting opportunity to work within the Trading Standards Service and provide support to colleagues in this fast-paced busy environment.   The role supports the Service to achieve its aims to ensure a fair and safe trading environment and to protect the wellbeing of Leicestershire people. With a shared responsibility for manning the Trading Standards duty line; answering calls and efficiently handling information received, this is a vital role for this Service. Other duties will include contacting businesses and consumers, updating databases as well as providing other general administrative support to colleagues. We are looking for applications from enthusiastic individuals who are willing to study for the level 3 Public Service Operational Delivery apprenticeship.
• Two GCSE's including Maths & English or functional skills equivalent or willingness to working towards.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Certificate in Public Service Operational Delivery.
• Experience of using ICT applications such as Microsoft and Excel.
• Ability to manage and organise own time and workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
