We are looking for a enthusiastic and customer focused person to join our Freedom of Information (FOI) & Complaints team. Ideally you will have a basic understanding of Freedom of Information and/or handling corporate & statutory complaints. More importantly we are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work to tight deadlines, build good working relationships with colleagues in the Council, and can remain calm and professional when under pressure.
The role will involve the processing of FOI requests and dealing with corporate complaints. You will be dealing with staff at all levels at the Council, relevant statutory bodies and the public. The role is based in the Business Services Team within Corporate Resources, the wider teams remit is varied and there will be opportunities for the post holder to be involved in a variety of activities. 
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Well-developed communications skills, with the ability to challenge and influence when appropriate
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload 
  • Maintaining and managing information in key systems in accordance with expected standards
  • Experience of working collaboratively across teams
