Assistant Technical Specialist (Applications Management)

Salary Range Grade 5-7 (£18,426-£21,168)
 
To assist with the support of key business applications, including IAS, Mosaic and Capita and Marval, - You will look after our triage process on a day to day basis, handle quick fix calls, and manage the escalation of priority calls to Application Configuration Experts/Technical Specialists.
You will champion user self-help and the use of self-service request forms, and signpost users to the appropriate resolver team.
You will work as part of small technical project teams across ICT to deliver new services and service improvements, and you will assist with providing internal users with technical advice and information.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to expand their experience in application support. This opportunity would best suit an applicant with a working knowledge of some of the above applications or who can demonstrate transferable skills from something similar.
 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at level 1
  • ICT experience with evidence of operating at a practitioner level (SFIA level 1)
  • Of working with technical and professional staff
  • Evidence of initiative used
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service and awareness of customer requirements
  • Demonstrates high level of accuracy in following procedures
  • Good analytical / problem solving skills
  • Numerate
  • Understanding and experience of the application of a customer service philosophy
