Starting salary is £16,302 rising to £16,399 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period.

Nottingham City Council is looking to recruit qualified Assistant Swimming Instructors (Level1) to join their large Nottingham Swim School programme that is delivered from seven City Council pools across the City. The hours on offer vary at each leisure centre, Nottingham Swim School mainly operates Monday-Friday 4.00pm-7.00pm and weekends 8.00am-1.00pm. There may also be opportunity to become involved in other swimming projects with additional hours available. Nottingham City Council offers competitive rates of pay starting with £8.45 per hour and rising to £8.50 on the first anniversary and subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period. The candidate will be responsible for:

ollowing lesson plans ensuring classes are progressive, motivating, inclusive and adequate for the level and needs of the group.
*  Assist in the organisation of all resources including registers, swim equipment set up and the collection of IPod devices and help to ensure lessons begin on time.
* Support the Swimming Instructor to deliver high quality lessons.
 
Essential Requirements

*
Level 1 Assistant Swim Teachers Qualification
* Experience of supporting/assisting the delivery of sporting activities
* Knowledge of the Swim England Learn to Swim frameworks and awards scheme
