Location: Based within Charnwood Borough Council as part of Leicestershire County Councils Traded Services Team.
            
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Traded Services Team working on the HR Service Leveln Agreement which is in place between Leicestershire County Council and Charnwood Borough Council.  You will be part of a small, dedicated and friendly team that are committed to the delivery of a full Operational and Strategic HR service.
           
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant HR Adviser who can juggle a number of HR projects successfully. This will involve managing a broad range of casework and communicating effectively with managements and colleagues to provide sound pragmatic HR advice. You should also be able to undertake a range of strategic work including policy development, analysing information and producing clear, succinct documents and reports. You will need to demonstrate that you have a good working knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to deal with a variety of demands and requirements. You should have a strong attention to detail and be able to delivery under pressure to high standards.
          
Key Responsibilities:
-  Deal with the coordination of the Job Evaluation process and administration.
-  Provide advice, support and guidance on policies and procedures to managers, giving detailed support where required.
-  Deal with all cases relating to sickness including Occupational Health referrals.
-  Support managers with investigations, reports and attend hearings.
-  Assist in the development of new HR policies, guidance notes and training sessions.
-  With the support of HR colleagues develop and deliver reports for formal meetings and committees.
            
You will have a certificate in Personnel Practice and an NVQ Level 4 and/or relevant experience of working at this level.
