The starting salary is £17,711 (Level One) rising to £18,065 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

As an Assistant Cook you will work alongside the Catering Supervisor to assist with the preparation and serving of school meals. The successful applicant may be responsible at times for the day to day running of the school kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Experience in food preparation including vegetables and sauces
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations and their application in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of good customer care practice and experience in working in a customer focussed environment
