The Environment and Transport's Business Support Team are recruiting an Apprentice and Trainee Schemes Co-ordinator based at County Hall. The role includes facilitating the efficient running of the Department's Graduate, Trainee and Apprentice Programmes, ensuring they are delivered to high standards. Also the role is to co-ordinate wider departmental recruitment support and training.


DAILY ACTIVITIES
To support, co-ordinate and develop all E&T Training Programmes, including activities such as organising review meetings and monitoring trainee progress.
To co-ordinate the wider recruitment for the E&T Department and to facilitate the departmental training board.
To develop and maintain effective systems for all Training Programme Records, ensuring that all trainees' information is accurate. Working with departmental managers, Scheme Providers and Corporate Learning and Development colleagues, ensuring effective working relationships at all times.
To lead the wider Departmental support for recruitment and induction. Support with job description amendments, advertising jobs through the EMSS Portal, applicant management, right to work checks, contracts.



ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C or Grade 9-4 or demonstrable experience identified as outlined in the Job description/person specification
  • Maintaining accurate records and registers holding a large volume of diverse information
  • Organising and facilitating meetings involving a range of attendees. Use of electronic calendar and room booking systems
  • Microsoft packages and competency with spreadsheets and office systems
  • Successfully  managing communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with high standards of customer service
  • Organised, methodical with attention to detail
  • Awareness of data protection and GDPR legislation
