We are looking for an experienced qualified Social Worker wanting to make a difference to the children who reside under Special Guardianship Orders within the Nottingham City boundary.  This post currently sits within the Permanency Team.
      
You will have experience of undertaking care proceedings and will have progressed Special Guardianship Orders and previously written their support plans. You should be motivated and passionate about working with our children who have had traumatic experiences and committed to understanding the impact of this whilst supporting their carers manage to them. It would be desirable if you have an awareness of post order support and therapeutic parenting however safeguarding knowledge is essential. There must also be a willingness to offer out of hours support in respect of SGO support groups for our committed, enthusiastic carers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Professional Social Work Qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Direct experience working with children in a child care setting
  • Possession of full driving licence and access to a vehicle
