Contract Type: Fixed term for 1 year, reviewed annually
Leicestershire Adult Learning Service require qualified English and maths tutors in our Skills for Life curriculum, to create and deliver outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for adult learners across the county.  You will be required to deliver accredited functional skills and/or GCSE courses in your specialist area, i.e. English or maths.
LALS deliver from a number of centres across the county and successful candidates may deliver in a number of venues (within travelling distance) evening and/or daytime to be agreed.  Our courses include fast track, short courses and flexible learning alongside an established programme of 30 week delivery and you may be asked to deliver any combination of these.
We particularly welcome applications from tutors who are able to deliver maths in the Thurmaston area and English in the south of the county (eg Wigston, Enderby and surrounding villages)      
Salary is pro rata on a sessional basis, reviewed annually and dependent on the number of classes delivered.
• A nationally approved teaching qualification
• Relevant and approved subject specialism
• Recent involvement in teaching and learning
• Strong ICT skills
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills
