Leicestershire Adult Learning Service requires qualified ENGLISH tutors in our Skills for Life curriculum, to create and deliver outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for adult learners across the county.  Posts are sessional and ideal for those looking to add to their teaching portfolio or supplement their current role. 
Please note that an ESOL qualification is not sufficient for this post and we require a PGCE (or equivalent) or as a minimum the PTLLS/Award in Education with a commitment to study for the next level.

We urgently need a qualified GCSE English tutor to cover a class in Loughborough on a Wednesday evening.
We also need a qualified English functional skills tutor to cover a class in Wigston on a Tuesday evening.
Other posts (daytime or evening) may be available over the spring and summer terms and we are also recruiting for the next academic year.
The successful candidates may deliver in a number of venues county wide (within travelling distance) evening and/or daytime to be agreed.    Our courses include fast track, short courses and flexible learning alongside an established programme of 30 week delivery and you may be asked to deliver any combination of these.    
Salary is pro rata on a sessional basis, reviewed annually and dependent on the number of classes delivered.  LALS fully support tutors with innovative CPD opportunities.

• Relevant and approved maths qualification
• Recent involvement in teaching and learning
• Strong ICT skills
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills
