Leicestershire Adult Learning Service are rated as a 'Good' service by Ofsted (Feb 2018). We are inviting applicants for the post of Programme Manager responsible for Work Based Learning, which includes Apprenticeships. You will lead on the planning, development and delivery of Apprenticeships and other Work Based Learning programmes and have responsibility for delivering excellence in all aspects of the role.
 
You will undertake a thorough self-assessment of the programme to drive quality and deliver targets. A good understanding of the apprenticeship funding rules is a distinct advantage and you will be involved in contract negotiation and management of those contracts with employers and apprentices. You will be able to manage the budget of the programme effectively including income generation from levy paying employers, whilst ensuring targets for achievement rates on the Apprenticeships programmes are met.
 
The Work Based Learning Programme Manager is also responsible for the delivery of the traineeship programme, NVQs and other work-based qualifications.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Degree or equivalent qualification and evidence of further training relevant to the post
  • Recent leadership / management experience within a relevant setting, including recruitment and staff development
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data to inform improvements in programme development
  • Experience of developing and/or managing accredited programmes/apprenticeship standards
