Family Care is an innovative, voluntary adoption agency that has supported our communities for over 130 years. We also offer emotional support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse, and provide safeguarding services.
We are looking to recruit a full-time Adoption Social Worker to join our team
Have you been a qualified social worker for three or more years, preferably with proven experience of working in adoption and family placement? Can you demonstrate effective team working and a strong commitment to promoting the interests of children and their families?
We are offering this exciting opportunity to undertake the full range of adoption tasks within Family Care – recruiting, preparing and assessing adopters, making inter-agency placements, supporting adoptive families and providing adoption support services.
You will be joining a skilled and friendly team and must be willing to work flexibly and to travel nationally. You will make a long term difference to children and families in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
In return, we will offer you regular supervision, excellent administrative support, and encouragement in your personal development. A pension scheme is available linked to Nottinghamshire County Council.
