Salary:£19,173 - Pro-Rata

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to a locality team within the special educational needs service, including inputting and retrieving information from the service data base and handling enquires from schools, parents and other professionals. You will have good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy and excellent time management skills to ensure all work is completed efficiently to support the service in completing statutory assessments for Education, Health and Care plans

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in literacy, numeracy
• Experienced in word processing
• Administrative experience
• Experience of routine record keeping, manual and computer database
• Knowledge of admin procedures, routines and office technology
• Awareness of customer care issues particularly in relation to telephone work
• Accurate keyboard and basic word processing skills
• Good communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to enter and retrieve data from a database
• Ability to organise and plan workloads
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Evidence of successfully working under time and workload pressure
• Evidence of regular attendance at work
• An understanding of, and commitment to Equal opportunities, and the ability to apply this to strategic work and day-to-day situations
• Must be able to perform all the duties and tasks of the job with reasonable adjustments where appropriate in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010
