Please note you do not have to be an Approved Mental Health professional to apply for the role.  We are looking for either a social worker or an AMHP to fill the position.  All social workers will need to be willing to train as an AMHP once they have attained two years post qualifying experience in mental health.  The training is funded by LCC


 
As a social worker:
Assessments under the Care Act 2014 for individuals 18-65 with mental health issues or drug and alcohol issues
Commissioning packages of care
Frontline duty
Mental health review tribunals-social circumstance reports
Court of protection work
Safeguarding
Mental capacity assessments
VARMS
 
As an Approved Mental Health Professional:
In addition to the social work role stated above you will be on a rota approx 4 times a month.
You will also pick up planned AMHP work within the team such as community treatment orders and MHA assessments that are for cases on your case load.
Could also include displacing a nearest relative.
 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • qualified social worker for the social work role for the AMHP role you would need to be a qualified AMHP in addition to this.
