Salary Range:    
  • £24,801 - £31,377 (Newly Qualified - Level 2 Social Worker: Depending on Qualification and Experience)
  • £32,094 - £34,653 (Level 3 Social Worker: Depending on Qualification and Experience)
  • £35,727 - £39,405 (AMHP: Depending on AMHP Qualification and Experience)
An opportunity has arisen for either an AMHP, experienced Level 3 or newly qualified/Level 2 Social Worker to work in our mental health Melton team. The post is a full time, permanent position. The Social Worker will be expected to pick up Harborough cases and to work flexibly across both sites. Social workers in our mental health teams are expected and will be supported to become AMHP’s.
The post is a community post covering the Melton and south Charnwood area. The post will be a part of a small mental health team working with adults aged between 18-64. The successful candidate will be able to work creatively and flexibly within the relevant legal framework to assess and support service users with complex diagnoses and social needs to manage risk and achieve their identified outcomes. 
You will need to have a strong understanding of mental ill health and models of working with this service user group. You will undertake safeguarding and other multi-disciplinary work and be able to work effectively with a busy caseload.
You will write MHA tribunal reports and, if qualified, undertake MHA assessments. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to tight timescales and maintain a strong person-centred approach.
